Schbot robotic vacuum cleaners are everyday helpers to keep your home clean and tidy. Regular maintenance is essential to ensure a long life and efficient operation. While daily maintenance is simple and can be done at home, for more complex maintenance problems you can turn to our specialists for professional help.

Initial maintenance for first use of the robot

When using a robot vacuum cleaner for the first time, it is important to start by fully charging it. This will ensure maximum battery efficiency and long battery life. After the first cleaning cycle, attention should be paid to the dust canister, which may fill up more quickly at the beginning, as it collects previously settled dirt. For the first week, the dust collector should be cleaned every few days, afterwards once a week is sufficient. If there are long-haired pets or family members in the home, cleaning should be done at least twice a week.

Main arm - the heart of the robot

Robot vacuum cleaner main brush is the device that does most of the work. It accumulates hair, dust and other dirt, so it needs regular cleaning at least once a week. Removing hair and debris is easy - just remove the main brush and use the cleaning knife that comes with the robot to remove the dirt that has accumulated on it.

Side-brushes - corner-cleaners

The side brushes are the ones that sweep dust and dirt out of the robot's reach. They should be cleaned a couple of times a week or as needed. Hair can be easily removed by hand or by dismantling the robot's brushes. If the bristles curl, they can be soaked in hot water to restore their original shape. However, for older bristles, replacement may be considered.

Sensor maintenance

Robot sensors are essential to ensure safe and accurate operation. They are located near the robot wheels and need to be cleaned every few weeks. A soft brush or microfiber cloth is all that is needed to remove dust from the sensors. If the sensors are dirty, the robot may not detect the boundaries, which could lead to accidents such as falling down stairs.

Wheels - enablers of mobility

The robot has three wheels, the smallest of which is removable and needs cleaning at least once a month. Hair and bristles accumulate between the wheels and can be removed with scissors or a screwdriver. Regular cleaning prevents the wheels from clogging up and keeps the robot moving smoothly.
